KAREN REFUGEE FAMILY UPDATE
AWESOME is the word that comes to mind when I think of your generosity to this refugee family and to all of the missions that you help sponsor throughout the year.
I, for one, am not usually at a loss for words, but all I can say right now is “THANK YOU!!!” Your response to the requests for household items and monetary donations exceeded all expectations.Our congregation is truly moved by the Holy Spirit to do good deeds and help the less fortunate.
The Mae Kee family arrived in Minnesota on Thursday, Jan. 26. They were met by members of our Taking Root Team at the airport and transported to their new home in St. Paul. When they arrived at their home, not only did they get to experience your love and giving by seeing all the furniture, bedding, towels, dishes, etc., they also met their daughter’s baby, their first grandchild, for the first time. I can’t imagine a more joyful experience…freedom, a chance for a new beginning, and the celebration of a new life. God truly does work in mysterious ways.
