Worship
Worship is the central aspect of our community and serves as a way for us to perceive God and savor peace, solace, hope, renewal, love, joy and wonder. Worship is a time to express gratitude, ask for guidance, and connect with others on their own spiritual journey. Through worship we are blessed by God and seek to bless others, to Know God and Show God.
At our services, we strive to create an environment of reverence, grace, and acceptance. Our worship manner is inclusive and scripture inspired. If you are looking for a community of fellow travelers to connect with on your spiritual journey, we would love to have you join us for worship. If you are seeking solace, inspiration, or simply a place to feel at peace, our worship services are open to all.
Worship Service (Sundays 10-11am)
Our traditional worship has prayer, hymns and a scripture based message that is relevant to our lives. Traditional worship happens in our sanctuary with pipe organ, grand piano, handbells, choir, pews and stained glassed windows. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month. We follow a traditional order of worship with a children’s message, sharing of joys and concerns, call to worship, hymn, confession, assurance of forgiveness, music, prayer for understanding, scripture, message, hymn, prayers of the people, offering, prayer of dedication, hymn, charge, blessing and response.
There is ample parking. Turn right after entering the front door. Restrooms and coat closet on your left. Sanctuary is straight ahead. An usher will greet you and give you a bulletin. If it is the first Sunday of the month you will receive prepackaged juice and wafer to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. All who trust in Jesus are invited, welcomed and encouraged to feast at the Lord’s table. While there is the full range of attire, most will be dressed casual. Most services are 1 hour in duration.
After worship September through May we hope you will join us for fellowship and refreshments in our hospitality room. Go past the door you entered to the end of the hallway, turn right, pass another set of restrooms to the refreshments and hospitality room.
We joyously welcome children to worship or attend seasonal childcare or seasonal Sunday school during worship.
Children and infants are always welcome in the Sanctuary for worship. Activity bags are available from a stand in the Gathering Space (Narthex). Children are welcome in the Gathering Space with a person 16 years or older. Our worship service is broadcast to this area, and we offer activity bags from the stand for their enjoyment. Feel free to move chairs from Meisenheimer Hall for your comfort, and please remember to return toys, booklets, and chairs during the closing hymn. The Fireside Room and Meisenheimer Hall are available, if needed, for baby and parent. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older at all times for the safety of everyone. Staffed, free childcare (Birth to age 5) and Sunday School (Age 6-4th grade) are offered seasonally in the education wing. After entering the church turn left then go to the end of the hallway for the childcare and Sunday school rooms. Click here to see our Children Guidelines and Safety and Health Guidelines.
