Children (birth to 5th grade)
Children are precious, priceless treasures to God and us. Our congregation genuinely cares about children and is passionate about providing a safe and enjoyable environment where children can grow spiritually through great learning and loving relationships.
Sunday School
Sunday school is offered 9:15-10:20 a.m. for children Preschool through 7th grade from September through May (some holidays may not apply – please check North’s website calendar). Our Sunday school teaches Biblical truths, faith stories, and community in a fun and inviting style so children may experience the love of our relational God.
Wednesday Discipleship Program
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade meet every Wednesday night (October-April) for fellowship and fun Bible activities. The following is the schedule for Wednesday night activities:
5:30 to 6:00 pm — Dance classes are offered for children ages preschool through 5. Contact the church office at 651-777-4044 for more information or to sign up.
6:00 to 6:15 pm — Games, fellowship and fun!
6:15 to 6:45 pm — Children grades K-5 will participate in fun lesson activities that illustrates scripture. The theme is Science and the Bible. We’ll perform experiments using matter, crystals, air, rocks, and water to better understand different Bible stories. It’s an innovative approach to studying the Bible that will excite children as they learn more about God.
6:45 to 7:00 pm — Children grades K and 5 may attend choir practice in the choir loft.
Begin each Wednesday from 5:30-6:00 p.m. as Meisenheimer Hall will be open for dinner and/or fellowship. Bring your own “sack” dinner or pick up sandwiches or pizza and eat your meal at church! Please clean up after yourself and supervise children during this time. In other words, the church will provide the space and you do the rest!
During children’s lesson time, kids play fun games, do crafts, and learn about God through engaging science lessons that illustrate scripture. These lessons are designed so that even young children can understand the message and apply it to their daily lives. Not only do children gain a stronger relationship with God and explore faith and life issues, but they build strong and lasting friendships. Children are invited to participate in all or a portion of the Wednesday activities.

Worship
Pastor James and our congregation love having children be a part of our worship services. However, we understand that children’s attention spans are much shorter than adults, so we provide “Kid’s Stuff Bags” packed full of activities to occupy restless children. These bags can be picked up on your way into worship or requested from an usher. During the sanctuary service, some families prefer sitting behind the glass in the back of the sanctuary to allow their children to experience the worship service and give them the flexibility to move about as needed. Wherever your family chooses to sit, we welcome you to worship with us. We encourage all ages to attend our Christ Connection Service held in the Hall. During this service, families are seated at tables where they can eat or do other activities while worshiping God. Children are welcome to sing and dance during the Praise Songs, since God loves children to make a joyful noise unto the Lord and praise the Lord through dance.
VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Our Vacation Bible School uses a fast-paced, engaging curriculum that teaches about the Bible using music, crafts, fellowship, stories, drama, and more. It is held Sunday through Thursday evenings one week in the summer. All children in preschool through 6th grade are welcome.

Events & Festivals
Throughout the year there are several awesome events and festivals. Members, friends and guests are always welcome! Some annual events include an Easter party, Movie Extravaganza, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and a Christmas pageant and party to name a few.
Infant and Toddler Care
Childcare is available Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings for infants and toddlers. We have a Childcare Provider on staff and a large group of regular volunteers who enjoy rocking, playing with, and telling stories to the youngest members of God’s family.
